The full-time firefighters are represented by the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) through Local 5120. They maintain a harmonious relationship with the Leland Township Board of Trustees in order to establish standards of wages, hours, and other conditions of employment through a collective bargaining agreement (CBA).

The Township Board and the Union encourage, to the fullest degree, friendly and cooperative relations between the respective representative of all levels among all Employees.
